Timeline for Xiaomi 14’s launch in India and worldwide been leaked; it could be unveiled at MWC 2024

The Xiaomi 14, along with the Xiaomi 14 Pro variant, was introduced in China in October this year. The smartphone features Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and has a 4,610mAh battery with support for 90W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W wireless reverse charging. These models were the first ones from the company to include Xiaomi’s innovative Hyper OS user interface. The base Xiaomi 14 model is now anticipated to be launched in India and worldwide in the upcoming months.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, which referenced tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh), the standard Xiaomi 14 model is likely to be presented globally at Mobile World Congress 2024, occurring between February 26 and February 29. The report indicates that the phone could be unveiled on February 25 and may also be launched in India on that day.

The base Xiaomi 14 model was previously seen on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website under the model number 23127PN0CG. The ‘G’ is thought to denote the global version of the Chinese equivalent. Although Indian variants usually have an ‘I’ at the end, since it appeared on BIS, an Indian release seems highly probable. In China, Xiaomi 14 was released with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC combined with up to12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to1TB UFS 4.0 internal storage, and a backed by a4,610mAh battery with support for fast charging technologies. It comes preloaded with Xiaomi’s latest Hyper OS interface, based on Android 14. The smartphone has a 6.36-inch 1.5K (1,200 x 2,600 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 460ppi pixel density, and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits.

As for the camera specs, Xiaomi 14 sports a Leica-branded triple rear camera setup with a Summilux lens. This includes a 50-megapixel Hunter 900 sensor equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There is also a front-facing camera featuring a 32-megapixel sensor. The device has an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. Its dimensions are152.8mm x71.5mm x8.20mm and it weighs193g.
